People celebrate this holiday in January .
Sometimes they have parties where guests dress up in costumes and cover their
face with masks. Next day people visit friends, relatives, neighbours. They usually watch big
fireworks at night.
People in many countries decorate Christmas
trees and give each other present. Children leave a long sock or stocking at
the bed on December, 24. They hope Santa Clause will come down the
chimney during the night and bring them presents. The special food is a big
turkey and a Christmas pudding.
People with romantic feelings for a particular
person may send that person cards, gifts and text messages on this day. Popular gifts include chocolates and flowers.

children in Britain.it is
celebrated on October, 31. Children dressed in costumes
knock on their neighbours’ doors and ask: “Would you like “trick”or “treat ?”, (money, sweets). Then they go away. People decorate their houses with pumpkins.
